Easter GCSE Spanish Revision Lessons

The Easter holidays are a busy time for GCSE Students in Year 11 who will soon be starting their exams.

In addition to the written exams which start in May, language students will have the speaking exam before in April or early May. This is why we offer intensive revision lessons over the school Easter holidays. These can be tailored to whichever exam board the student is following. In this post we will give you an insight into what you will gain from these sessions.

These revision lessons are ideal if you want to reach the top grades 7-9 or if you simply want to gain extra practise to feel fully prepared and confident for the exams.

Build confidence for the speaking exam in April/May

You will gain valuable experience of the new ‘read aloud’ section of the speaking exam that is being introduced this year for the first time. Gain tips on how to maximise the preparation time and how to execute it successfully. One of the most daunting parts of the speaking exam is the general conversation and being asked questions on the spot. By practising this in advance you will be ready for any question that you are asked.

Expand advanced vocabulary

One of the best ways to really impress the examiner and achieve a top level answer in the writing and speaking exams is to use more complex words and phrases. We can help you learn these in time for the exams.

Master complex grammar

By learning more difficult grammar structures and using a variety of tenses, you increase your chances of gaining top marks. Additionally, you will be able to understand the most difficult texts they will give you in the reading exam. Just by brushing up on each tense and the irregular verbs you will feel more prepared to tackle any question you are faced with.

Learn effective exam techniques

As well as helping you learn and practise grammar, speaking and vocabulary these sessions will also give you tips on how to revise and prepare for the exams, how to manage your time during each exam and how to plan your written answers.

Valuable practice by doing past papers

You will have the opportunity to have a go at past papers which will be checked and marked against the mark scheme and you will be provided with valuable feedback for you to take on board for the actual exams.
